Sex or Gender?

I always thought both these terms mean same thing. And I am sure most of others too. Today I was watching "Dus ka Dum" and they had a Trans-gender participant. I decided to understand what "Transgender" really means? Is it a mental state or a physical one? Without wasting a minute I sent time with my laptop on Internet for reading a lot of information on that.

Sex is what you are born with. Gender is what you feel. Sex can be changed. Gender can't be changed.

Now I have more respect towards people who live a Transgender life. It really take a lot to do what you feel and believe. Hats off!!!

"Patriotism" has become fashion amongst NRIs

15 August - Independence day is just over. During thing period I observed a pattern in my Orkut and Facebook account. Most of my NRI friends were wishing "Happy Independence Day". Many of then shared videos of Patriotic songs. Get together were arranged.
This makes me think that "Patriotism" has become fashion amongst NRIs. First of all they left India for better life. Now they feel Proud to be an Indian. What for? If they are so Proud then why left India.

On further analysis, looks like this is a general human tendency. When you are away from India, what you remember is the Good memories of life you spent here. While you are enjoying the prosperity in Developed countries, you miss you family back home. The events like "Independence Day" make you nostalgic.

I could see one more reason behind it but I am not so sure about it. Looks like even though NRIs enjoys better life in Developed world, they are not really accepted by the locals as part of the community. They always feel isolated from the mainstream. This makes them become sensitive towards their homeland India.

Guys, it's not Patriotism but just a Guilt.
